Indian Journal of Neurosurgery, a publication of Neurological Surgeons Society of India, is a peer-reviewed online journal with bimonthly print compilation of issues published. The journalís full text is available online at http://www.ijns.in. The journal allows free access (Open Access) to its contents and permits authors to self-archive final accepted version of the articles on any OAI-compliant institutional / subject-based repository. The journal does not charge for submission, processing or publication of manuscripts and even for color reproduction of photographs.
It is the first of its kind bi-annual Indian neurosurgery journal that strives to publish neurosurgical research of high value for a diverse audience of neurosurgery healthcare professionals, academicians and researchers, physicians and the like.
Members of the association will receive a copy of the journal packed with the very latest knowledge in the field of neurosurgery. It will also be available online with free text access.   Scope of the journal

The journal publishes original work based on standards of excellence and expert reviews in areas of neurosurgery which will help practitioners gain new insights into the under lying mechanisms in the field of neurosurgery and provide novel and varied techniques of surgery. Morevoer, the journal will cover technical and clinical studies related to health, ethical and social issues in field of Neurosurgery. Articles with clinical interest and implications will be given preference.
In addition to above it will also have new sections like 'Speaking Sage' which will feature a reputable persons take on scientific and neurosurgical field from a philosophical view point. The journal will also have a section on 'Different strokes' where neurosurgeons who have done well in a field they had pursued as hobby will write on their experiences. We will also have small section on quiz and crossword which will interest both young and experienced neurosurgeons.
